September 6th, 2022 - Links for Tuesday

A curated collection of «signal over noise» links about interactive technologies, AI, web3, sense-making, entrepreneurship, and psychology.

  1. Very technical, but Needle.tools is a promising pipeline to convert Unity 3D projects into WebGL. The big picture impact is that it might be easier, faster, and more accessible to integrate beautiful 3D into web experiences!
  2. We are curious to test the new Tilt Five AR device! It looks promising for multi-user AR. Even though their focus is Gaming, I’m sure we can find meaningful usage for experiential Marketing!
  3. I mentioned it in my article about AI-generated content. Still, it’s worth sharing again: an artist who used AI-generated art has already won a contest, and the other artists are freaking out
  4. Are you starting your career soon? If one of your values is to choose a work that will have an impact on the world, please check out 80000hours, a website that lists high-impact jobs in many areas: climate, AI safety, governance, health, animal rights… The name comes from a simple calculation: you will probably spend 80,000 hours working in your life. What will you use this time for?
  5. Luxury brands are pioneers in «the Metaverse». (I really need to publish an article explaining how misleading this term is, but it will do for now…). One of the most exciting experiences I’ve tried so far is Bulgari pop-up store on Zepeto. It’s nicely done and interactive - you can catch butterflies! And it exists in the Physical world, making a good use case of experiences blending physical and virtual. Also, most Zepeto users are GenZ, which will surely help Bulgari to expand in that market.

Come on, DALLE, 6 fingers?
