- Opus AI is creating a text-to-game platform; checkout the video below on how it could work. The basic idea is to avoid any programming by simply typing what you want the game to be.
I mentioned this concept in my post about the impact of AI-based content generation, and last week about the next Apple MR Headset applications. (I’ll never say «I told you so» because of the Hindsight Bias but I was pretty accurate!) I believe this technology to be one of the building blocks for the wide adoption of “The Metaverse”: everyone will be able to build their own world and express themselves through it!

(Oh also, I say «Text», but Voice To Something is also here) - Microsoft reacted with an official statement after the community surprise and worries after major layoffs in the mixed-reality team. In short:
Hololens 2 support and OS updates are still on the roadmap,
The military program is still ongoing by addressing the soldier’s feedbacks,
They still plan to contribute to MRTK (the open-source toolkit for Mixed Reality),
And they are now focusing on Microsoft Mesh, their own industry-focused Mixed Reality platform.
The takeaway: no big surprise here, by focusing on entreprise and software, Microsoft recenters at its core targets. Still, it’s very unlikely that a Hololens 3 will be created. Oh, also, they announced GPT integration in Microsoft Teams. - Related, Samsung, Qualcomm and Google join forces to «build a new Mixed Reality platform». It’s unclear what will emerge from this; my bet is on a new or improved Operating System for MR devices. What do you think?
