- I have a confession to make: I’m not a gamer. Don’t get me wrong, gaming is a fantastic field of creativity, playfulness, and passion, and I greatly respect it. One VR game that stood out for me, though, was «I Expect You To Die,» and it got a recent upgrade for the Meta Quest Pro. It’s an escape-the-room-style experience where you must solve riddles and puzzles to win.
The user experience is incredibly intuitive: catching objects in VR in a telekinesis style is super effective. Using the device's pass-through (cameras) mode, the game now takes place half in your room and half in VR. It’s amazing.

I can’t wait for the fantastic ideas that your creative mind will come up with ;-) - Audi collaborates with a startup, Holoride, to provide VR Glasses for passengers’ entertainment! The movements in VR will be in sync with the vehicle, which is essential for avoiding motion sickness. I’m still curious to see if it’s good: avoiding motion sickness is very difficult. I know some of my readers will remember a certain project back at CES 2020 ;-)
- Not a news, but an explanation: when speaking about VR, what does «pass-through» means, by the way? When the first VR headsets were created, the only thing a user could see inside was virtual images.
External cameras placed on the headset can now display the environment and blend it with the VR one.
This allows a broader range of experiences and a safer feeling for the user, where he’s not completely blocked in the virtual world.
