Crédit Agricole (CACF) - CACF Point-of-Sale Credit in VR

Retailers that offer instalment payment sign agreements with banks to originate the credit at the till. Until then, the bank's teams pitched that offer with a PowerPoint. CACF wanted the retailer to sit through the customer journey instead of reading about it, so with the Paris agency Backlight we built a Gear VR app that puts the viewer inside a consumer electronics store as a shopper.

The viewer enters, picks a category from a hub, and arrives at a display stand showing an entry-level and a premium model. A sales assistant, filmed and composited with an alpha channel, walks through the two products while spec panels appear in time with what she says. A slider sets the instalment plan at 6, 12 or 24 months and the monthly figure updates live. The viewer then reads the terms, ticks the consent boxes, watches the assistant scan identity documents while the credit form fills itself in field by field, and signs.

The set was shot as stereoscopic photospheres and movement between viewpoints was animated as a short camera travel rather than a cut, to avoid the disorientation of hard teleports. We delivered in under three weeks, onto two dedicated handsets, for a client event.
