Mitsubishi Fuso Truck and Bus - FUSO eCanter AR

FUSO wanted to explain what makes the eCanter different from a diesel truck without asking anyone to install an app. The brief was a browser-based AR experience in Japanese and English, triggered from a printed image marker, carrying four product messages: the automatic braking system, flash-charging time, payload volume and quiet-mode running.

The user points a phone camera at the marker, an origami paper truck appears and unfolds into the eCanter, and a road forms underneath it. The truck drives along the road and pauses at each of four questions, each with its own 3D animation and three possible answers. Scores resolve into five tiers, each with its own closing message, and the eCanter can be viewed in five body colours.

We produced the storyboard, all 3D art and animation apart from the eCanter model itself, the 2D interface and the AR programming.
